Summary

 This edited book serves as “a shorter, simpler version of Motus Dei, tailored for busy field workers and a broader audience” (p. xv). The earlier book Motus Dei (written in 2021) provided a robust and academically credible description of the phenomenon of movements. Thus, this current book offers a shorter and easier-to-read version of the earlier book, simplifying (and occasionally updating) selected chapters from Motus Dei as approved by the authors of those chapters. The author of this book considers it “an appetizer for that full-course banquet” (p. xv). The book is divided into two parts: (Part 1) “What’s Happening” has four chapters that describe DMMs (Disciple Making Movements); and (Part 2) “How Shall We Understand What’s Happening?” has four chapters that explain the phenomenon from different perspectives.
