Summary

This book presents a solution to the lack of organizational goal fulfillment. The authors suggest that many organizations and teams face the “whirlwind” (the daily and ongoing tasks everybody must fulfill) and never get to their most important goals. They then construct a framework for focusing on a few very important goals, identifying lead measures, scoring progress and creating an ongoing “cadence of accountability” (these are the 4 disciplines or “4DX”).
