Missio Nexus Announces New Director of Leadership Formation

Jenn Williamson to lead the association’s efforts to foster leadership formation across diverse demographics.

Jenn Williamson, DMin, is the Director of Leadership Formation for Missio Nexus. She is passionate about equipping and encouraging Christian leaders to guide their organizations to greater effectiveness by developing and employing strategies and systems that reflect and reveal the Kingdom of God.

Missio Nexus, the largest and most inclusive expression of Great Commission oriented evangelicals in North America, is pleased to announce the appointment of Jenn Williamson as Director of Leadership Formation, effective June 1, 2024. Jenn comes with a wealth of knowledge and practical missional engagement through her time in local church ministry and serving for 16 years with Greater Europe Mission (GEM). Missio Nexus is grateful for GEM’s partnership to second Jenn to the association for this new role.

The primary responsibility of the Director of Leadership Formation is to steer Missio Nexus towards its commitment of fostering leadership formation across diverse demographics, ensuring the active participation of both women and men in mission endeavors regardless of age, race, or ethnicity. The duties encompass orchestrating events, sourcing resources, conducting research, and engaging communities to cultivate a dynamic leadership environment where women can flourish in leadership and where men and women can collaboratively serve together.

Jenn will be transitioning the activities and groundbreaking work of Wendy Wilson, who has led the Women’s Development Track in partnership with Missio Nexus since 2012. Wendy has been instrumental in encouraging, strengthening, and equipping women for leadership roles across the mission’s world for over a decade. In addition, Wendy has worked to ensure that women and men are flourishing as they work together to see the gospel proclaimed among the nations. Missio Nexus is deeply grateful for Wendy’s work and partnership and will celebrate her legacy and achievements later this year.

Ted Esler, President of Missio Nexus, said, “We are thrilled to have Jenn on board as our new Director of Leadership Formation. She brings a passion and a vision for leadership development that aligns with our mission and values. She also has a proven track record of effective ministry and leadership in various contexts. We believe she will be a great asset to our association and to the broader mission community.”

Missio Nexus invites its members and partners to join in celebrating what God is doing and encouraging Jenn as she takes on this new role. To learn more about Missio Nexus and its leadership formation initiatives, visit missionexus.org.
