Pooling our Resources for Evangelism, Discipleship, and Church-planting Training (TR)

Saturday @ 9:15am

We all know the value of partnerships, but what is a working model of pooling and sharing training resources? Today sending agencies, churches and educational institutions are working together to build and deliver missionary training modules. Join us for a conversation with a panel of missions trainers about their current collaborative efforts to provide learning in evangelism, discipleship, and planting churches. During this workshop you’ll have the chance to discover how you might benefit, ask questions as well as share or compare your experience. We’re hoping to get the word out to others like you who can benefit from the tools currently being used as well as models currently employed and training recently developed. The panel will be moderated by Mark Morgenstern and Christina Schott from Grow2Serve.

Mark Morgenstern

Senior Director
Grow2Serve

Mark and his family spent 13 years in Russia and Ukraine working in church planting and people development. Following nine years serving as leader of ReachGlobal’s training team, EFCA EQUIP, in 2015 Mark reorganized Grow2Serve and it now functions as a platform for aiding missions organization with online learning support, publicizing of learning resources and instructional design consulting services. Mark also serves as the director of CIT Next, the distance learning branch of Center for Intercultural Training. All that Mark does is driven by his passion for workers being equipped and Christians coming together in partnering relationships for God’s glory and the fulfillment of His work.

Christina Schott

Project Manager for Operations
Grow2Serve

Christina (M.A. in Intercultural Relations) is passionate about God’s mission and desires to connect and equip believers to serve Him. She spent two years in East Asia evangelizing, discipling and church-planting before God led her to return to the U.S. to prepare others to serve God on His mission, especially cross-culturally. Christina married her husband Ben, pursued a M.A. degree, volunteered with the International Mission Board’s (IMB) church missional strategists, and served on missions committees. While living in Alaska, Christina focused her M.A.’s thesis on missionary training and narrowed it on short-term missions teams engaging Alaska Natives. Christina joined Grow2Serve in 2015, serving in multiple capacities: online learning support, instructional design consulting, church missional strategy consulting, and managing your Great Commission Learning Network (www.grow2serve.com).
