Missio Nexus Appoints Dr. Bob McNabb as Director of Mission Mentorship (effective January 1, 2024)
October 31, 2023 — Missio Nexus, a leading North American association of mission organizations and churches, is pleased to announce the appointment of Bob McNabb as the Director of Mission Mentorship. In this pivotal role, Bob will provide overall leadership and direction for Missio Nexus’ outreach and engagement with member mission organizations’ field leadership.
Bob McNabb’s responsibilities will include launching a network for mission practitioners who are actively engaged in the mentoring, care, and oversight of missionary team leaders. The goal of the network is to help mentors better connect with, learn from, resource, and collaborate with one another. Bob will also provide general mentorship for mission leaders associated with Missio Nexus leadership development programs.
Key Responsibilities for Bob McNabb as Director of Mission Mentorship at Missio Nexus:
- Design and Implement a Network of Mission Mentors
- Conduct Field Leader-Focused Events
- Curate Resources for Field Leadership Development
- Provide Advising, Consulting, and Teaching for member mission organizations.
- Collaborate on Leadership-Focused Research Projects

About Dr. Bob McNabb: Bob was born and raised in Sarasota, Florida. After graduating from Samford University, he joined the staff of Campus Outreach. Through a decade of leading a campus ministry and church planting team in Thailand, he worked himself out of a job and returned to the States to mobilize and train others to go. His mobilization ministry has included serving as a missions pastor, adjunct seminary professor, co-founder and CEO of Launch Global, and coaching international team leaders. Bob earned a D. Min. in Leadership from Columbia Biblical Seminary and is the author of Spiritual Multiplication in the Real World: Why some disciple-makers reproduce while others fail. He lives in Birmingham, Alabama, with his wife, Susan, and is the father of three daughters and has two grandchildren.
