A New Way to Pray as We Remember the Unreached

This month, the global Church gathers to remember the over three billion people with little to no access to the gospel. This observance, known as the International Day of the Unreached (IDU), is a moment of reflection, intercession, and renewed commitment to the Great Commission. For our team, IDU is both a reminder and celebration of what God is doing among the world’s unreached people groups (UPGs).
Eurasia: A Land Waiting to be Reached
Eurasia is a vast land rich in heritage and history. Most countries in this lesser-known region were formerly part of the Soviet Union. In this continental expanse you will find multi-layered cultures, painting a diverse landscape with strong undertones of the past mixed with vibrant tints of the present and soft hues of the future.
The people of Eurasia are what makes this region special. They are generally warm, welcoming, and family-oriented. They value their art traditions and connection with nature. In this picturesque region of sprawling steppes, meadows, and mountains reside millions who have not heard the gospel.
The Beginnings of Pray for Eurasia
To increase awareness about the region and invite more believers to pray for the UPGs of Eurasia, we created a missions resource website called Pray for Eurasia (PFE), a hub of information and updates on UPGs across this massive region.
Recognizing that nothing can be done without prayer, our PFE team thought of leveraging technology to encourage Christians to intercede for Eurasia. After years of planning, brainstorming, and working closely with app developers, we launched the Pray for Eurasia mobile app, and we are thrilled to share that it has since grown and been updated with exciting new features!
What’s New in the App
This free app now contains information on approximately 180 UPGs with specific ways you can lift them up in prayer. As you explore the app, you will learn about their historical and cultural background, location, and how much access they have to the gospel.
We also wanted to make it easy and encouraging for users to stay consistent in prayer. That’s why we added a Prayer Streak feature, which celebrates your faithfulness by tracking how many consecutive days you’ve prayed. A daily notification option is also available to help you stay in the habit.
Increasing Accessibility
Even in the early stages of app development, our team was fully committed to reaching a wider audience. We are proud to share that the Pray for Eurasia app is now available in 11 languages!
- English
- Russian
- Ukrainian
- German
- Spanish
- Filipino
- Chinese (Simplified and Traditional)
- Brazilian Portuguese
- Korean
- Romanian (soon coming this 2026)
By providing multiple language options, we hope that Jesus followers from all over the world can join us in praying for the UPGs of Eurasia, no matter where they are or what language they speak.
Join Us in Prayer
This International Day of the Unreached, we invite you to take a meaningful step: download the Pray for Eurasia app from the Google Play Store or the App Store. Share it with your family and friends, too. Together, let’s pray for God’s work to flourish among the unreached peoples of Eurasia.
Finally, brothers and sisters, pray for us that the word of the Lord will spread rapidly and be glorified, just as it was also with you. โ 2 Thessalonians 3:1
