This book is broken into two parts. The first addresses why traditional predictive models fail while the second half attempts to address how we can understand what might be in the future. This book has many illustrative stories (some are possibly too long to serve their purpose, such as a multi-page story of a man who leaves the priesthood). The first part of the book succeeds in casting doubt on forecasting.
