STM Emergencies: Preparing Team Leaders to Respond in a Crisis

STM goers want to courageously share Christ in word and action around the globe. Yet, there are risks associated with all travel. In the spirit of Matt. 10:16, this workshop will discuss biblical guiding principles for approaching risk and how team leaders can reduce risk and prepare for on-field crises with appropriate concern, but not needless anxiety.

Jenny Collins (MAR, Trinity Evangelical Divinity School) has taught missions at Taylor University (IN) since 1998 and has served on the SOE National Board since its inception in 2003. She directed Taylor’s Lighthouse International Service-Learning Program from 1999-2013, coordinated 88 trips to 24 countries, and has chaired two church missions committees. She is a PhD student in Missiology at Concordia Theological Seminary, Fort Wayne, IN.
