Millennials and Missions: Demystifying and Unleashing a Generation

Millennials and Missions: Demystifying and Unleashing a Generation
Presented by Dr. Jim Raymo, Instructor — University of Northwestern-St. Paul and Bethany Global University

Description:
The webinar will focus on the strengths and weaknesses of the Millennial generation, born between 1980 (82) to 1998 (2000), specifically in relation to local and global ministry. Understanding Millennials, with all their idiosyncrasies, is urgent for the mission community since they will eventually be its leaders. How should we mentor/coach this generation to be the best possible workers for the Kingdom of God? What kind of leaders best connect and engage with this generation? What characteristics of an agency/church can bring Millennials on board and retain them? Are there any deal breakers for Millennials? Most importantly, we will discuss attitudes that shout to Millennials our interest or disinterest in having them become part of us.
