Jesus in the Secular World #2: Responding to Global Secularization Webinar

Description: Fueled by global secularization, the Global Youth Culture is largely influenced by one predominant worldview: Secular Humanism. In this relativistic culture, we are god and consumerism is our religion. This is a generation that does not look to the Church for answers, but believes it to be a dead and empty tradition of the past. Unfortunately, our evangelistic efforts are often presented within a framework that fails to connect with the presuppositions of a secular humanistic worldview. How can we respond to the growing worldview, lifestyle and moral gap that exists between the Church and secularized society? How can we engage the globally connected younger generation, especially those who are increasingly apathetic, cynical, and even opposed to Christianity?

Presenter:  Aaron Pierce is the Executive Director of Steiger International, a worldwide mission organization that is called to reach and disciple the Global Youth Culture for Jesus.

As a missionary kid, Aaron grew up in the center of Amsterdam, where he saw first-hand the transformational power of God in the lives of many lost and hopeless people.  Aaron was a member of the evangelistic rock band No Longer Musicfrom 2005 to 2016, preaching the Gospel all over Europe, South America and the Middle East.

Today, Aaron oversees Steiger International’s strategic direction, continues to participate in evangelistic tours around the world, teaches at Steiger training events, develops new ministry partnerships and more.

Aaron also co-leads the Global Secularization initiative for the Lausanne Movement.
