Mission agencies continually deal with questions regarding the tax consequences of their activities. Whether spouse and dependent travel, children’s education, moving expenses, member care, or any of a host of other issues, the decisions we make have tax consequences that can strain limited resources. This session will look at common situations and review the best practices regarding each situation.

Learning objectives:

  • Describe best practices around tax matters pertinent to mission organizations
  • Explain the rationale supporting the best practices presented
  • Develop a framework for making decisions in other contexts
