Primary Audience Development professionals engaging with churches Description Church and ministry partnerships are central to the work of missions. Yet there are too many stories of church leaders who feel that all the ministry fundraiser want from them is more money each year.

Thriving partnerships between churches and ministries can actually be created by fundraisers, rather than hindered by them! This workshop will be a panel discussion with: Steve Brien (formerly with with Mercy Ships, currently Missions Pastor at Southeast Christian Church in CO), Michael VanHuis (formerly a missionary as well as Missions Pastor, currently Vice President at MissioNexus), and Derek Bennett (formerly Chief of Staff at Whites Chapel in TX, current Director of Global Advocacy for Pioneers).

Learning Objectives Developing an understanding of the mindset needed to foster authentic partnership between churches and ministries Identifying the pitfalls facing fundraisers when engaging with churches Leaving with a 2-3 next steps to take with churches, in order to create a deeper, more authentic and mutually beneficial partnership 1.5 CPE credit hours // Specialized Knowledge.
