The Place of Orality in Church Planting

Description: Why the concepts, principles and practices of Orality are increasingly being recognized as important in disciple making and church planting movements.  Most of the unreached and unengaged people groups are primarily in the more relational, communal and Oral Cultures, or among Oral Preference Learners.  When considering what it will take to complete the Great Commission, Orality methods and strategies are very much on the cutting edge.  Biblical, cross-cultural and reproducible are some of the features that make Orality a priority in the mission world.

Presenter Bio:  Jerry Wiles, Serves as North America Regional Director of the International Orality Network, and President Emeritus of Living Water International, and became involved with Orality in the 1980s. He has more than 35 years of experience in ministry and international mission work and is recognized as a paradigm pioneer in the Orality Movement.  Jerry is an author, radio program producer, has been a frequent guest on radio and television talk shows and traveled extensively as a public speaker.  He is also an Air Force veteran, a former pastor and university administrator. He and his wife, Sheila, have two grown children and seven grandchildren.
