Women in Leadership Study

National Findings Released

Missio Nexus is excited to share with you a recently released report focused on women in leadership.

Janel Curry and Amy Reynolds write:

“The national conversation on women in leadership has been reignited lately. We think it’s due, in part, to the important and varied research that’s taken place across a variety of sectors in U.S. society. Even so, little has focused specifically on religious organizations. We want to change that.

We have completed a three-part study that focuses entirely on institutional leadership among evangelical nonprofit organizations. Including developing a list of best practices for the wider evangelical community.

Funded by the Imago Dei Foundation of Boston with an exemplary advisory board (listed below) co-led by Emily Nielsen Jones, Imago Dei Foundation, and D. Michael Lindsay, President of Gordon College, our research contributes to the national discussion while representing an otherwise missing demographic.”

Janel Curry, Provost, Gordon College

Amy Reynolds, Assistant Professor of Sociology, Wheaton College
