In this webinar Michael and Ted will overview the exciting Missio Nexus Ministry Innovation Fund. This fund in its second year is designed to be a catalyst for innovative thinking and practice within the Missio Nexus Association with a focus on church planting, evangelism and discipleship among the unreached. There are some exciting changes to the grant process for 2024. Anyone considering applying for a grant needs to make this webinar a priority to attend.

Presenters:  Michael VanHuis, Executive Director and Ted Esler, President of Missio Nexus

Michael VanHuis has been with Missio Nexus since September 2015 and serves in the role of Executive Director Michael has served on the mission field in Ghana, West Africa, has helped lead the operations of two different mission agencies, served as missions pastor, and a manager of a private family foundation. Michael serves as an advisor to mission agencies and churches, oversees Missio Nexus research efforts, and the Missio Nexus Innovation Fund. Michael earned a Masters of Global Leadership from Fuller Theological Seminary in Pasadena, California. He and his wife, Laura, have five children and currently reside in Aurora, Illinois.

Dr. Ted Esler became president and CEO of Missio Nexus in June 2015, after serving in executive leadership with Pioneers USA and Pioneers Canada since 1999. His passion is to see believing communities of Jesus followers spring up among all cultures. Ted authored the book, Overwhelming Minority, about his family’s ministry in the Balkans, following the end of the Yugoslav civil wars. He previously worked as a church planter in the Balkans, and a software entrepreneur, and a consultant in the United States. Ted earned a Ph.D. in intercultural studies at Fuller Theological Seminary in Pasadena, California, and a master’s degree in theological studies from Heritage Theological Seminary in Cambridge, Ontario. He and his wife, Annette, have five children.
