STM goers want to courageously share Christ in word and action around the globe. Yet, we are not guaranteed safety in this life and there are risks associated with all travel. Obedience to God’s call took the apostles straight into dangerous situations. In the spirit of Matt. 10:16 and being “as shrewd as snakes and as innocent as doves,” this workshop will discuss how team leaders can reduce risk and prepare for on-field crises with excellence and appropriate concern, but not needless anxiety. We’ll explore planning for and responding to criminal, accidental, natural disaster, political, health and personal emergencies.
