Does your organization transfer funds internationally? Do you make grants to national partners? To individuals? This session will provide practical guidance for formulating best practices regarding international grantmaking in light of IRS regulations and Treasury Department post 9/11 guidance for organizations operating internationally.

Learning objectives:

  • Identify the basic tax compliance rules governing international grantmaking
  • Explain the requirement to comply with the anti-terrorist financing guidelines of the Office of Foreign Asset Control (OFAC)
  • Apply practical best practices in developing internal controls and complying with the regulatory environment
