Summary
The book argues that the Jewish people were given by God an irrevocable call and were chosen to serve a particular purpose: “to be a national witness to the nations and a nation of witnesses unto the Lord” (page 69). To support this contention, the author reviews the call of the Jews from biblical to present times to be light to the nations (Part 1), raises the factors that hinder this bold witness (Part 2), and addresses four groups of readers (Jewish seekers; Gentile seekers; Messianic Jews; and non-Jewish Christians [Part 3]). According to the book, the three factors that hinder bold witness are the mindsets that “the Jews killed Christ” (page 77), that “God rejected the Jews” (page 81), and “Jews don’t need Jesus to be saved” (page 84). Despite these hindrances, God’s national call to the Jewish people to carry God’s message to the world “remains intact because God loves his chosen, because he loves the nations, and because his word is true” (page 140).
