This book is a study of how people come up with original ideas, companies, inventions and movements. It discusses who is most likely to be original (and why), what sort of activities lead to originality, how groups affect originality and how we might be more original. This book is chock full of sociological studies and reads very much like something written by Malcom Gladwell. Some of the findings are paradoxical and surprising making this an entertaining book to read. It has much to say about organizational culture and dynamics, movements and causes oriented around larger purposes.
