Mass collaboration is the intentional engagement of diverse participants in collective ideation and action focused on generating innovative solutions to pressing challenges. Mass collaboration events draw on the talents and initiative of people from around the world to respond to real-world problems with solutions that can have immediate impact – providing not just products, but a sense of empathy, ownership and community that makes those solutions sustainable. This type of missional engagement opens up new sources of innovation, new avenues of engagement, and new opportunities for partnership.
