This week I include prayer requests for Iran from a network of believers.

8th. The righteous cry out, and the Lord hears them, He delivers them from all their troubles. Psalm 34:17—Pray for the end of violence, terror, and all kinds of evil that have controlled the hearts and minds of the people of Iran. There can be no peace without the rule of the Prince of Peace, and we call on believers everywhere to intercede on behalf of every person in Iran.
“May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing.” (Romans 15:13) Pray for hope among civilians in war zones.
“The kingdom of God is like leaven hidden in three measures of flour.” (Matthew 13:33) Pray that the underground faith of untold numbers of Iranians will quietly transform this nation.
“Pray that God may open to us a door for the word, to declare the mystery of Christ.” (Colossians 4:3) Pray for miraculous openings for the Gospel to spread throughout Iran.

9th. I urge, then, first of all, that petitions, prayers, intercession, and thanksgiving be made for all people—for kings and all those in authority, that we may live peaceful and quiet lives in all godliness and holiness. (1 Timothy 2:1-6) We ask for prayer by name, for each of the religious and political leaders of Iran. Ask the Most High God to intervene through signs, wonders, dreams, and visions that they might find salvation in Jesus – the one mediator between God and humankind. We ask for every person to find forgiveness for sin and freedom from shame by humbling themselves before Jesus, who is the ransom for all people.
“Do not be overcome by evil, but overcome evil with good.” (Romans 12:21) Pray for the leaders at all levels of authority in Iran to be “overcome with good.”
“Bless those who persecute you; bless and do not curse. Ask for the strength to bless and not curse those who are causing suffering, following the example of Christ and His apostles.” (Romans 12:14) Pray for a supernatural gift of blessing persecutors.
“He removes kings and sets up kings.” (Daniel 2:21) Pray for God’s hand in Iran’s succession.

10th. Pray also for the Syrian pastors “who stayed”: The Syrian pastors who stayed: Violent clashes have led many Christians to emigrate from Syria, yet some church leaders see a revival brewing (CT).
“My people will abide in a peaceful habitation, in secure dwellings, and in quiet resting places (Isaiah 32:18). Pray for stability and renewal in Syria.
“Those who sow in tears shall reap with shouts of joy.” (Psalm 126:5) Pray that the Gospel continues to spread through faithful witness, even amid suffering.
“They shall beat their swords into plowshares and their spears into pruning hooks (Micah 4:3). Pray for disarmament of hearts and hands.
“The Lord lifts up those who are bowed down.” (Psalm 145:14) Pray for strength and dignity for those rebuilding their lives.

11th. Praise God for the decision by the Indian high court which affirms the right to pray in homes: permission is not required for religious prayer gatherings held on private premises. Pray that this helps the Gospel to pass from house to house in India (MNN).
“Come, all you who are thirsty, come to the waters.” (Isaiah 55:1). Pray that spiritual hunger and thirst will lead many to Christ’s living water.
“Remember those who are in prison, as though in prison with them, and those who are mistreated, since you also are in the body.” (Hebrews 13:3) Pray for those arrested and imprisoned for their faith in India.
“Be strong and courageous for the Lord your God is with you.” (Joshua 1:9) Pray for courage for secret believers.
“The one who endures to the end will be saved.” (Matthew 24:13) Pray for endurance in persecution.

12th. Pray for the church in the midst of the fighting between Pakistan and Afghanistan. In over a week of fighting, hundreds of casualties have been reported, and there is no sign of the violence ending; it is now called an “open war.” (Reuters).
“Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil, for you are with me (Psalm 23:4) Pray for courage and faith for believers in danger.
“When I am afraid, I put my trust in you.” (Psalm 56:3). Pray for calm faith in crisis.
“The righteous will live by faith.” (Habakkuk 2:4) Pray for steady trust in the midst of pressure and persecution.
“Those who sow in tears shall reap with shouts of joy.” (Psalm 126:5) Pray that the Gospel continues to spread through faithful witness, even amid suffering.

13th. Pray for the migrants who have been forced to flee their home and now have found themselves settled “in forced waiting” in migrant settlements. Recent examples include Europe’s largest migrant settlement, found in Italy (El Pais) and the “City of forced waiting” at Mexico’s southern border (NewHum).
“The poor have good news preached to them (Luke 7:22). Pray for the marginalized to hear and believe.
“I will never leave you nor forsake you.” (Heb. 13:5) Pray for displaced and fearful Christians to hear this word of comfort from God.
“Those who had been scattered preached the word wherever they went.” (Acts 8:4), Pray for  the believers among the diaspora to bear witness.
“Whoever oppresses the poor shows contempt for their Maker, but whoever is kind to the needy honors God.” (Proverbs 14:31)

14th. Pray for the election in Nepal and the church there. There has been widespread church growth and a number of movements in Nepal, but also much political unrest. The election campaigns are being disturbed by a surge of AI-generated disinformation. Pray that the church will be a force of truth and peace, and that the Gospel will spread even further.
“Cease from anger, and forsake wrath. Do not fret it only causes harm. For evildoers shall be cut off; but those who wait on the Lord, they shall inherit the earth.” (Psalm 37:8-9) Pray for an end to political disturbance and for peace to reign over Nepal.
“Arise, shine, for your light has come, and the glory of the Lord has risen upon you (Isaiah 60:1). Pray for the Church to shine with peace and integrity.
“Strive for peace with everyone, and for the holiness without which no one will see the Lord.” (Hebrews 12:14) Pray for the church to be a peacemaker in Nepal.
