Webinar: Rest, Reflect, Reorient with Personal Retreat Days

Description:

Ministry leaders are givers: they pour themselves into serving others, but they often put their own well-being on the back burner. This webinar will encourage you to design a consistent rhythm of rest and reflection. Taking time for self-care, inner conversation, and personal development isn’t selfish– it’s essential! You will learn how to create and maintain a consistent Personal Retreat Day practice. I’ll show you why it’s important and will help you overcome obstacles. You’ll walk away with a framework for Personal Retreat Days consisting of deep rest, reflection on the past, and reorienting towards the future.

This event is good for all but especially for busy missionaries and ministry leaders on the brink of burnout.

Presenter:

Wende Whitus is passionate about encouraging you to discover a rhythm of rest and reflection by helping you design your own monthly Personal Retreat Day practice. Here’s why: In 2012, while preparing to move overseas for ministry, she experienced a medical emergency that turned out to be brought on by stress and anxiety. Gratefully, she recovered quickly, but the episode made her realize that she hadn’t taken the time needed to invest in her own well-being. The emergency was her wakeup call. She learned her lesson and implemented real changes by setting aside one day each month to do nothing but rest, reflect, and reorient. This practice has reaped benefits in both her personal and professional life, and it can work for you, too. Learn more at her website: www.personalretreatday.com.
