About the role
About InnerLife Ministries:
InnerLife Ministries (ILM) exists to train and resource Christian leaders and equip local churches with guided discipleship processes that help people open their inner lives to the transforming love of Jesus. We believe the gospel is meant to reach beyond intellectual belief and outward behavioral modification into the deeper places of the human heart, addressing unconfessed sin, unhealed pain, unrecognized lies, and underdeveloped spiritual, emotional, and relational skills.
Our primary discipleship process is Untying the Knots of the Heart (UTK), a guided 22-lesson course experienced in relational, small-group environments. Through UTK, participants prayerfully explore their identity, story, relationships, wounds, default beliefs, and growth in Christ through a structured, spiritually grounded process. ILM supports an expanding ecosystem of local churches, international partners, missionary care cohorts, and volunteer facilitators through curriculum publishing, training, ongoing care, and operational coordination.
Why this role matters:
At our core, InnerLife exists to serve the church. We are for the church, by the church, and for the good of the church. We believe Untying the Knots of the Heart is a meaningful gift to local churches. Again and again, we have seen the fruit of this safe, gospel-centered process that helps people face what is going on beneath the surface and experience real transformation in community. We want more churches to have access to that kind of gospel-centered transformation. We are looking for someone who loves the local church, loves building relationships with pastors and ministry leaders, and wants to help UTK serve more congregations.
What you’d be responsible for:
- Build and maintain relationships with pastors, church staff, and ministry leaders.
- Help introduce UTK to more churches and guide leaders through the early stages of interest and discernment.
- Communicate clearly about how UTK can serve the discipleship and care needs of a church.
- Help coordinate follow-up, next steps, and relational touchpoints with church contacts.
- Support and lead pastor cohorts.
- Work closely with the team to strengthen how churches experience InnerLife from first conversation onward.
- Strengthen organizational systems and help create greater clarity, order, and consistency behind the scenes.
What may make someone a good fit:
- A love for the local church and a desire to strengthen and serve it.
- Experience in church ministry, pastoral work, church relations, outreach, or a similar relational role.
- Someone who is warm, genuine, and able to build trust with church leaders.
- Strong communication and follow-through, with the ability to carry both relationships and details well.
- A person who understands that serving churches well requires patience, clarity, humility, and real care.
Important Note on Compensation (Ministry Partnership Development)
All full-time roles with InnerLife are support-funded and require Ministry Partnership Development (MPD). This means that candidates aren’t simply hired with an immediate salary; rather, each staff member develops a team of ministry partners who support the ministry through financial giving, prayer, encouragement, and advocacy. During your first 6–12 months, your primary assignment will be building this support team. For a detailed look at how this works, please read our Ministry Partnership Development (MPD) Explainer document.
