Director of Mobilization & Onboarding

About the Position
United World Mission (UWM) is seeking a Director of Mobilization & Onboarding to provide oversight and leadership to the Mobilization & Onboarding team, which is responsible for recruiting, appointing, and fielding new missionaries. The Director of Mobilization & Onboarding will play a critical role in advancing the vision and mission of UWM by sending new workers to equip servant leaders around the world.

Primary Responsibilities:
1.     Develop and execute an annual strategic plan for Mobilization & Onboarding, including setting and managing team metrics and mobilizer metrics.
2.     Manage and steward the pipeline against established metrics.
3.     Lead the team of mobilizers, which includes meeting regularly with each mobilizer to review their lead portfolio and to coach them; schedule and lead team meetings; foster a team culture of development and performance.
4.     Manage the Associate Director of Mobilization & Onboarding, including meeting regularly to provide support and to ensure the onboarding function is optimized.
5.     Lead the process, with the Director of Global Ministries, Regional Leaders, and program directors, to actively develop new and manage existing placements; and ensure mobilizers are trained on presenting placement opportunities to prospective missionaries.
6.     Develop new and manage existing referral partnerships.
7.     Oversee the lead process, assess impact, and implement continuous improvements.
8.     Maintain a portfolio of leads to stay closely connected to the mobilization process.
9.     Collaborate with the Director of Marketing & Communications on strategies, conferences, and materials for lead generation and engagement.
10.  Perform other duties and special projects that are relevant or assigned.

Candidate Qualifications
Required
·       Growing Christian disciple with a strong commitment to the local church & global missions
·       5-10 years of sales and recruiting experience
·       A minimum of 5 years of management and leadership experience
·       Demonstrated ability of managing teams toward continuous performance improvement
·       Ability to facilitate innovation and manage change effectively.
·       Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
·       Willingness to travel domestically and globally.
·       Affirmation of UWM’s Statement of Faith

Preferred
·       Experience in talent recruitment for ministry.
·       Cross-cultural ministry experience
·       Willingness to relocate to Charlotte, NC

Physical Requirements
·       Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
·       Must be able to lift 15 pounds at times.

Travel Requirements
·       Ability to travel domestically or internationally as needed (est. 20-50%)

·       Supervision Received: Chief Operating Officer
·       Direct Supervision Provided: Associate Director of Mobilization & Onboarding, Mobilizers
