Do you have trade skills like welding, pipe-fitting, climbing high towers, mechanical experience, tower installation/maintenance gifts? Do you wonder if you might be needed in the world of missions? We do need you at our global transmitter sites like Guam, the Caribbean or Africa. Please note: This position is a supported/sponsored missionary role (not a direct hire opportunity), so you would develop a team of partners who provide financially for your full salary and benefits as a part of this role. We do provide training, resources, and coaching to help missionaries reach these financial support goals!
Role Summary: Our Global Technical team is looking for a missionary to serve as a Tower Maintenance Technician to properly maintain antenna systems and other equipment needed to operate a radio broadcast transmitting site.

Responsibilities:
Monitor condition of antenna and related systems for deterioration or other threats
Instruct tower workers in safety and proper execution of the job
Inspect all safety equipment and supplies/tools for each tower job
Maintain inventory and assist with re-supply
Work irregular hours when repairs are needed or night shifts
Desirable Qualifications:
Post-secondary degree in engineering. Associate’s accepted, Bachelor’s preferred
Knowledge of tower structures, support systems, standard rigging practices and metal structure maintenance
Practical experience or knowledge in several of these areas: air conditioning, mechanical, auto/diesel, electrical, painting, roofing, and related areas
