Graphic Designer / Production Specialist

JOB SUMMARY
Responsible for managing the graphic design process from briefing through oversight of final product and delivery. Work with the VP of Marketing & Communications and the Communications Team to clarify our brand positioning, enhance brand recognition, and creatively convey the message of Global Disciples.

GOAL
This job exists to effectively communicate the stories, activities, and impact of Global Disciples in ways that engage current donors/partners, bring glory to God, and broaden our base of friends, prayer partners and donors.

  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders (Operations, Finance, Partner Relations and Alliance departments) to understand business goals for existing and future programs and projects and increase our effectiveness in all communications
  • Develop and maintain a unified/distinct look in our communications, ensuring that all communication pieces comply with the Global Disciples Style Sheet and Brand Guide, align with our specifications and budget, and are consistent with Global Disciples’ mission

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Create visual designs that effectively communicate brand identity, including the design and production of screen layouts, color palettes, typography, user interface elements and icons
  • Create and maintain presentation templates and tools for company-wide use
  • Coordinate efforts with Writer/Editor to assure each creative project is crafted to appeal to its unique target audience and completed in a timely and cost-effective manner
  • Partner with the Writer/Editor so that each annual report, quarterly newsletter, and direct mail appeal is delivered on deadline and efficiently as a strong communication piece with good graphics, photos and stories that engage, inspire, challenge, and inform
  • Coordinate efforts with the Digital Marketing Specialist to further the development, revision and updates of the website, video productions, and social media tools
  • Coordinate efforts with MarComs & PRT Coordinators to design effective materials for all U.S. events and some global events
  • Establish production budget for creative projects, obtain and review all vendor production quotes and final invoices, tracking actuals versus budgeted
  • Manage production and mailing of printed materials, working with outside vendors to ensure the quality of work meets our standards, remains on budget, and the outcome clearly reflects our mission
  • Make sure the Global Disciples Brand Guide is kept current and promote consistent application
  • Proof marketing material after layout to ensure there are no spelling, spacing, or graphic design errors
  • Handle in-hose printing
  • Manage printed materials inventory and stocking

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Must be a committed follower of Jesus Christ and an active member of a Christian church
  • Passion for the mission and work of Global Disciples and alignment with its statement of faith, goals, purposes, and objectives
  • Minimum of three years of experience in creative content development
  • Proven track record in developing and overseeing communication and media production
  • Understanding of and experience with social media and marketing
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Graphic design and production education/certification preferred
  • International interest/experience preferred
  • Experience with Microsoft Office Suite [Word, Excel, PowerPoint] and Adobe Creative Cloud Suite (InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator, Acrobat, Lightroom Classic) required.
  • Knowledge of Outlook, Salesforce, Monday.com, and Pardot preferred.
