Summary

Many of us are dealing with a loved one who has been diagnosed with dementia. It can be devastating to watch as the person loses independence, personality, and abilities that once defined them, knowing there is no cure. How should we respond to a diagnosis of dementia?

In this book experienced geriatrician Dr. John Dunlop wants to transform the way we view dementia—showing us how God can be honored through such a tragedy as we respect the inherent dignity of all humans made in the image of God. Sharing stories from decades of experience with dementia patients, Dunlop provides readers, particularly caregivers, with a biblical lens through which to understand the experience and challenge of this life-altering disease

  1. As someone who regularly gives away his book reviews I’m not sure this really warrants being behind a paywall. I think we would all be better off freely sharing these sorts of efforts with each other. Instead of requesting permission to share this review, I think I’ll read the book, share it with those I’d like to, and post the review on Amazon where anyone can find it.
