Summary
The book proposes the Christian leadership approach of leading from below, which “follows the contours of the downward path of the cross” (page 31). Through his rich ministry experience of 60 years in the global evangelical world, the author exemplifies leadership from below through his personal stories, which he calls “incarnational leadership narrative” (page 38). The narrative approach shows the author’s process of serving as a reflective practitioner in the context of worldwide mission (as third-cultural-kid pilgrim, globalized evangelical, and devoted follower of Jesus). Moreover, the book concludes by connecting leadership from below with the need for leaders to finish well.
