Summary
The book narrates the author’s journey of addressing his broken past, which God can use to make His “glory shine even brighter to those around us” (page 63). He begins his book with the statement “I am the bastard son of a priest and a nun” (page1), continues with is tumultuous childhood, his exposure to the church and his ministry as an adult, his challenges in his family life, and reconnecting with his father. Using his own stories and of people who influenced him, the author shares his perspectives, lessons, and insights on how God wants to use our past, gifts, and passions for God’s mission, so that “we can be exactly who God made us to be” (page 124).
