Summary

A Short Guide to Evangelism and Missions combines history and exegesis to explore questions and issues around missions as well as our motivation to share the gospel. These concepts are practically applied to overseas missions as well as to the daily life of believers in their home countries, challenging each of us to fulfill God’s call to the Great Commission. The author walks the reader through practical and accessible ways to reach out to others in their own mission fields. This includes a focus on prayer and taking action through a personal mission plan. He addresses many of the common fears and misconceptions that keep us from participating in evangelism and includes an explanation of the worldview of each of the five major religions. Each chapter concludes with questions addressing practical application. Overall, the book encourages us to overcome our limiting fears and thoughts and live out the Great Commission in obedience to God.
