Summary

This book is about the changing environment we live in and how we, as church leaders (and particularly denominational leaders) are failing to respond to the challenge. The basic premise is that we cannot reform ourselves using the systems and methods that we know so well from the previous century of success as leaders. Rather, we need to start new things; small experiments that are conducted outside of our normal operations. We should not try to “throw out” the existing structures that are operating but allow our core values and identity to be birthed in new ways.
