Some form of teaching is central to most mission work, but how does culture affect the way people learn? This webinar will introduce participants to the five dimensions of how culture influences teaching and learning. Practical examples will illustrate how and when to adapt (or not adapt) teaching to the cultural expectations and preferences of learners in another culture.

Presenters:

Craig Ott, PhD, teaches at Trinity Evangelical Divinity School where he also directs the PhD program in intercultural studies. Much of his time is spent teaching and consulting internationally, where he has gained experience in over 40 countries. Prior to coming to Trinity, he served for twenty years in Germany and Central Europe. He has authored and edited numerous book, including most recently Teaching and Learning across Cultures: A Guide to theory ad Practice (Baker Academic).
