Evangelical Missions Quarterly (EMQ) is released each year in January, April, July, and October. Geared toward missionary practitioners, EMQ provides a forum for the exchange of concepts, strategies, and ideas. Each issue includes 8–10 articles, 8–10 book reviews, and occasional featured features such as editorials and missiographics.
EMQ is now offered exclusively in PDF format. The print edition is no longer being produced, and EMQ is no longer available for purchase on Amazon. In addition, as of July 2025, group subscriptions and renewals have been discontinued. Existing group subscriptions will continue to be honored until they expire.
Libraries do not need to purchase subscriptions. Instead, they have free access to the full EMQ archive at https://missionexus.net/, which is free and open to the public. The archive includes all past issues, with a one-year delay for the most recent content. The link may be freely included in library resource lists without payment.
In addition, individuals or libraries can sign up for the free EMQ mailing list. This provides alerts when new issues are released, including links to open-access articles. The remaining articles from each issue become available in the archive after 12 months.
Some of our recent issues have explored topics such as prayer, mobilizing and ministering to Gen Z, Bible translation, and member care.
