Why is it so hard to remember how many days are in any given month? February always ends so early, and July seems to go on forever. Spring and Fall are busy times that seem to fly by while the lead up to Christmas and the Summer months seem to slow down. Time is something that we struggle to grasp.

At some point in my journeys around the calendar, someone showed me the little trick to remember the days of the month using your hands. How many of you learned this little trick at some point in your life?

As we begin a new year, the knuckle counting starts anew! We clear out the cobwebs of the holidays and adjust to the realities that January brings. It’s funny how our mindset changes so radically from December 31 to January 2. The celebrations end and we turn our focus on a new set of challenges and opportunities.

As you look forward to 2026, it is likely to be a time of continued uncertainty and disruptive change. So many of the assumptions made in the past are ceasing to be helpful; even as expectations race forward building on some of those faulty assumptions. It is in this topsy turvy time that we are called to seek where God is at work and move with Him in new and creative ways. These are days where innovation is normative, and pivots are daily occurrences.

That is why Missio Nexus is starting the year off with a 3-part Webinar series on practical innovation tools to help you navigate these uncertain times. The series will tackle three critical topics to strengthen your innovation efforts:

Making Time for Innovation: One of the greatest hinderances to innovation is our lack of bandwidth to try something new. This session will equip you to carve out time so that the important doesn’t get sidelined by the urgent.

Understanding the Role of Collaboration in Innovation: As we learn to be more agile, one of the most powerful force multipliers for our innovation efforts is collaboration. This session will prepare you to be agile in community.

Integrating Your Faith into Innovation Efforts: So often our implementation of innovation is based on the world’s tools and perspectives. We struggle to see how our new thinking connects with our spiritual journey. This session will help you make the connection and integrate your faith into the practice of disciplined innovation.
