Position Summary: The Church Relations Coordinator (CRC) assists in locating new churches and initiating relationships with ECM, maintaining and growing relationships with existing supporting churches, and promoting partnership opportunities between ECM and new and existing churches.

Qualifications:

1. Is a committed Christian who demonstrates a personal relationship with Jesus Christ as Savior and Lord.

2. Exhibits strong commitment and dedication to the biblical teachings on caring for children and families.

3. Agrees with and be able to uphold ECM’s Statement of Faith and the policies of the organization.

4. Aligns with each of ECM’s values:

7. Has a strong understanding of fundraising and has experience in raising funds in the context of non-profits.

8. Has demonstrated success in relationship building.

9. Listens well, exhibits compassion and empathy, and practices patience.

10. Is highly motivated, takes initiative (self-motivated), is energetic, creative, flexible, dependable/reliable, and a team player.

11. Is comfortable with current standard office computing tools, and capable of expanding repertoire to include collaboration and web-based reporting tools.

12. Has good written and oral communication skills. Is able to effectively share the mission of ECM in one on one, small, and large group settings.

Essential Functions:

1. Seeks out new churches in all assigned areas.

2. Introduces and begins relationships with new and existing churches who need to become aware of ECM’s ministry.

3. Follows up with new church contacts in a timely manner and as directed by the Executive Director.

4. Recruits volunteer church liaison or a primary contact in the church for ongoing communication.

5. Introduces, at the appropriate time, ECM programs such as Next Step and Family Empowerment, giving churches multiple opportunities for partnership.

6. Introduces Community Connection as a partnership opportunity for those churches looking to go deeper in their ministry outreach.

Team Responsibilities:

1. Works with the Executive Director and the home office staff to design, implement, and manage fundraising activities.

2. Works closely with the Executive Director to assess development needs and the overall fundraising plan, especially as they pertain to churches.

3. Assist with ministry special events, SPP events, banquets, and other ministry events.

4. Provides office staff with relevant and updated donor/church contact information and related church liaison/primary contact information to insure quick connections for communication mailings and updates.

5. Maintains accurate recordkeeping; keeps church records current in Site Stacker donor software.

6. Attends required seminars and webinars as well as team meetings and required staff meetings.

Physical Requirements and Travel Expectations:

1. The CRC must be able to travel on a regular basis, at least monthly, to various locations around the United States to meet with church representatives.

2. The CRC must be able to handle the physical requirements of air and vehicle travel, though reasonable accommodations will be made to enable those with disabilities to perform essential functions.

1. As a representative of ECM, whether at the home office or when meeting in remote locations, the actions and appearance of the church relations coordinator will reflect on the ministry. It is important for the church relations coordinator to be mindful of their service to Jesus Christ in all that they do, as they reflect Christ to others.
