This event is designed for CEOs and “2nd in Commands” (Executive VPs, COOs, and similar #2 roles) who want to connect with peers, learn from others, and gain insights into the latest trends and best practices in missions leadership.
You can come with or without your CEO or 2nd in Command. We hope some pairs will be able to join us, but it is not required. There will be joint sessions and separate sessions designed for each group. Spouses are encouraged to attend and will be included in sessions.

Keynote Speaker
Steve Moore is the president of nexleader, where he gives leadership to a growing network of over 250 coaches who use the Identity Profile Self-Awareness Tool (IPSAT) to help people discover, optimize, and unleash their God-given potential. From 2006 – 2015, Steve served as the president and CEO of Missio Nexus, the largest network of Great Commission oriented evangelicals in North America, representing churches, organizations and training institutions that send missionaries to nearly every country.
Steve has provided leadership for teams serving in Europe, Asia, Africa, South America and the Caribbean. He currently serves as board chair for World Relief, and on the board for the National Association of Evangelicals. Steve attended Kingswood University before pursuing graduate studies at Fuller Theological Seminary, where he earned a Master of Arts in Intercultural Studies with a leadership concentration. Kingswood University recognized Steve with a D. Div. in 2012. He is the author of six books, including The Top 10 Leadership Conversations in the Bible: Practical Insights from Extensive Research on over 1,000 Biblical Leaders, and most recently, Grow Toward Your Dreams: Practical Steps to Discover, Optimize and Unleash Your Potential. Steve and his wife Sherry have four adult children and live near Atlanta, Georgia.
Worship Leader
Michael Thompson strives to follow God’s simple mandate: love God, love others and make disciples of all nations. Michael’s passionate heart and love for creativity became his tools for growing the Kingdom of God through music, media and missions.
After serving as a missionary in Ghana, Michael founded OneWay, an organization committed to reaching multitudes for Christ worldwide. Through ministries like Prayercast, Mission Network News, OneWay Africa and more, OneWay’s work impacts millions in more than 190 nations each year. Michael is also an accomplished pianist, worship leader and recording artist whose music has touched hearts around the globe. A graduate of the Wheaton College Conservatory, Michael has performed for churches and conferences near and far and recorded nine albums. He also has more than 20 years of experience serving as a worship pastor in the local church. Michael’s musical gifts combine with his passionate heart for God and the world, something never far removed from his music or his message. Michael lives in Aurora, IL with his wife, Rachel. They have been married for 30 years and have eight children.
