Collaborative Grant Application

Overview:

Collaborative Innovation Grant:

  • Funding Range: $150,000 – $200,000
  • Funds will be sent to one lead ministry for disbursement.
  • Encourages joint applications from 2+ Missio Nexus Member ministries.
  • All applicants including partners must be Missio Nexus members.
  • Requires a proven working model of collaboration rather than a conceptual alliance.
  • Focus on demonstrating a collective approach to an innovative idea.
  • A prestigious grant awarded to outstanding alliances displaying both unity and innovation.

Expectations for Collaborative Grant Applicants:

  • Primary focus on Evangelism, Discipleship, and Church Planting.
  • A well-thought-out and articulated process to discover the project’s uniqueness and viability.
  • Clearly demonstrated steps in empathizing, defining, ideating, prototyping, and testing the idea.
  • Explicit presentation of end-user impact, emphasizing reaching the unreached and unengaged, along with clear end-user feedback demonstrating the need for the proposed solution.
  • Innovation within the missions community as a whole.
  • Collaboration with multiple partners, showcasing each partner’s role and contribution.
  • Designation of a single point of contact for the collaboration for follow-up and assessment.
  • Potential for sharing the idea, concept, or results with other mission agencies for adaptation to their context.
  • Recognition of winners with appropriate highlighting, taking into consideration security within the Missio Nexus community.
  • Originality is paramount—applications should not be a repackaging of existing projects or ideas.
  • Direct communication from the project manager is essential.
  • Submission of a 3-5 minute video explanation by the project manager in addition to the application.
