Executive Director Job Description About Righteous Rides: Righteous Rides is a Christian nonprofit organization dedicated to providing reliable and affordable transportation to international evangelical missionaries on furlough. With a fleet of 160 minivans stationed across the country, we ensure that missionaries can focus on their ministry without the added stress of transportation logistics. Our mission is to serve those who serve, facilitating their work for the Kingdom with compassion and excellence. Position Summary: The Current Executive Director (ED)/Founder plans to retire and the ministry is seeking a candidate that can transition into this position over the next 1-2 years.   The ED will provide visionary leadership and strategic direction for Righteous Rides. Reporting to the Board of Directors, the ED will be responsible for overseeing the organization’s operations, programs, and strategic initiatives. This role requires a dynamic leader with a passion for community service, strong management skills, and the ability to inspire and mobilize staff, volunteers, and stakeholders. Key Responsibilities: 1.        Strategic Leadership: ·   Develop and implement strategic plans to advance the organization’s mission and goals. ·   Ensure that the organization operates in alignment with its values and strategic objectives. ·   Provide leadership in fostering a positive organizational culture and ensuring effective communication within the team. 2.        Operational Management: ·   Oversee day-to-day operations, including program management, financial management, and human resources. ·   Develop and manage budgets, ensuring fiscal responsibility and sustainability. ·   Implement and monitor operational policies and procedures to ensure efficiency and effectiveness. 3.        Program Development and Management: ·   Lead the design, development, and evaluation of programs and services. ·   Ensure programs meet the needs of the community and align with the organization’s mission. ·   Foster partnerships with local agencies, businesses, and community organizations to enhance program impact. 4.        Fundraising and Resource Development: ·   Develop and execute fundraising strategies to secure financial support from individuals, corporations, and foundations. ·   Oversee grant writing and reporting to ensure compliance with funding requirements. ·   Cultivate and maintain relationships with donors, sponsors, and volunteers. 5.        Board Relations: ·   Serve as the primary liaison between the Board of Directors and the organization. ·   Prepare and present regular reports on organizational performance, financial status, and strategic initiatives. ·   Support Board activities and participate in Board meetings and committees as needed. 6.        Church and Mission Agency Relations and Advocacy: ·   Represent Righteous Rides and advocate for the organization’s mission and goals. ·   Develop and maintain relationships with church and mission agency leaders, stakeholders, and members. ·   Promote the organization through public speaking, networking, and outreach activities. 7.        Compliance and Risk Management: ·   Ensure compliance with legal, regulatory, and ethical standards. ·   Oversee risk management strategies and ensure the organization’s policies and procedures are followed. ·   Manage insurance and liability issues related to the organization’s operations. Support Raising Requirement: All positions at Righteous Rides are support-raised. New employees will be trained in relationship-based fundraising and are expected to raise 100% of their salary.
