Compensation and Benefits Specialist

The Compensation and Benefits Specialist coordinates and manages the paid staff compensation and benefits programs. This role is a vital part of the Human Resources team and reports directly to the Director of Human Resources.
Responsibilities
- Accurately processes paid staff payroll on a bi-weekly cycle
- Administers employee insurance programs including health, dental, vision, and retirement insurance plans
- Advises and informs employees of changes and developments related to benefits including eligibility, coverage, and provisions
- Facilitates accurate and timely delivery of employer contributions and employee payroll deductions to carriers, plan administrators, or other appropriate service providers
- Leads yearly open enrollment efforts including facilitating employee benefits sessions
- Performs other duties as assigned
- This position averages between 15-20 hours each week

- Knowledge of employment-related laws and regulations.
- Proficient with G-Suite or related software.
- Proficiency with or the ability to quickly learn the organization’s HRIS system
- Familiarity with ADP is a plus
Education and Experience
- Associate’s degree preferred or equivalent combination of education and experience
- A minimum of 2 years of human resource management experience preferred
- SHRM-CP or HRCI-PHR is a plus
