Human Resources Associate

FIM is seeking a full-time Human Resources (HR) Associate to carry out onboarding processes and administrate HR services for FIM’s diverse team of missionaries. Join FIM’s vision to raise up spiritually mature, reproducing disciples of Jesus among the nations.

Impact

The HR Associate will join an experienced administrative team of missionary leaders to raise and sustain missionaries who will carry the gospel worldwide. FIM prioritizes gospel proclamation by assisting missionaries to fulfill God’s call in their lives. FIM’s operational paradigm is attractive to missionaries who require flexibility in ministry. FIM’s personalized mobilization process, pre-field training, and on-field missionary care encourage missionary candidates to thrive as they prepare for their ministry and on the mission field.

  3. Practices a compassionate, gracious, and caring approach to ministry.
  4. Maintains a cooperative, loyal, and teachable spirit.
  5. Is an active member of a doctrinally sound local church.

Education and Skills – The ideal applicant will possess:

  1. Excellent written communication skills.
  2. A minimum of an associate degree in Human Resources or Business Administration or 4- years of full-time employment in a similar position.
  3. Proficiency in computer applications, including Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and Dynamics.
  4. Experience with mail merge and spreadsheet applications is required.
  5. Experience in database entry and management.

Experience – The ideal candidate will possess the following:

  1. Professional, volunteer, or academic experience working in a collaborative team environment.
  2. Professional, volunteer, or academic experience serving in a mission agency, Christian education, or church office environment

Responsibilities

  1. Assist in the onboarding process for missionary applicants.
  2. Send, store, and track applications and communicate with applicants.
  3. Provide new missionary appointees with financial support updates and fundraising resources.
  4. Administer FIM’s overseas group health insurance plan and assist FIM missionaries in understanding group health and life insurance plans and access to plan benefits.
  5. Assist with fundraising, grant procurement, and missionary mobilization as needed.

Salary and Benefits The salary range is $35,000-$42,000 annually, depending on the applicant’s qualifications, experience, and education. Paid vacation, relocation allowance, and partial health plan allowance will be discussed during the interview.
