Second-in-Command

Those who are Second in Command often find themselves amid decision-making, problem-solving, and vision defining interactions from morning till evening. Finding time to get away to reflect, refocus, recalibrate, and reconnect is often elusive. 2iC is an opportunity for organizations to invest in their senior leaders who are bearing the weight and providing stability for their organizations on a daily basis.

Your title may have a C or VP in it but you are the one at your organization that is the 2iC, the Second in Command.

Our time together will be instructive, reflective, and collaborative.

  • Topics curated from what matter most to 2iC’s
  • A mixture of spiritual reflection and practical leadership development
  • Group interaction and sharing
  • Networking and relationship building with others serving as seconds-in-command 

We have extended our 2iC event this year to leave more room for topic conversation and networking. The event will start at 1pm on the 29th and end at 6pm on the 30th. There will be an informal dinner at a resteraunt for that that want to join after we wrap up on the 30th. For those traveling it would be best to depart on the morning of December 1st.

Venue

This event will be held at the Frizen Center on the beautiful Pioneers campus located at 10123 William Carey Drive, Orlando, Florida, 32832.

Cost

$200 for Members | $325 for Non-members

Registration

Registration includes dinner on the 29th and lunch on the 30th. Registration does not include lodging. For those in need of lodging a block of rooms has been set aside at the Frizen Center and the Holiday Inn Express – both located on the Pioneers campus.

Your Facilitator

Michael VanHuis has been with Missio Nexus since September 2015 and is currently serving in the role of Vice President. Michael started in missions by serving with Pioneers in 1997 as a field missionary in Ghana, West Africa, and continued service on their International Leadership Team and Director of Operations for Pioneers USA. In 2005, Michael became the Missions Pastor for Northland Church in Orlando, Florida, overseeing all local to global missions. In 2012, Michael joined the OneWay Ministries staff as Executive Vice President and served with them till joining Missio Nexus in the fall of 2015. Michael earned a Masters of Global Leadership from Fuller Theological Seminary in Pasadena, California, and has traveled widely around the globe serving many national leaders and ministries. He and his wife, Laura, have five children and currently reside in Aurora, Illinois.
