February 8, 2023 @ 1:00 pm - 2:15 pm EST

As a whole, the “American Church” is made up of persons from different nations, tribes, peoples, and languages.  This is evident when you look at the congregations across our nation.  But how can we reflect this in missions from the United States with the rest of the world?  Join us as we look at important issues for the multiethnic mobilization of today’s church in America that represents different cultures of honor/shame, power/fear, and innocence/guilt.

This is a “Communities of Practice” event presented by the Ethnic Inclusion Network of Missio Nexus. The special guest for this episode is Voltaire Cacal, Director of International Student Development and Associate Dean of Students at DTS.  He is a Gen 1.5 Filipino American who was born in Ilocos Norte, Philippines and grew up in the SF Bay Area.  He now lives in Dallas, TX with his wife and three daughters.  He has served as a Missions Pastor for a Filipino church, an English Pastor for a Chinese church, International Director for RREACH, and Director of Global Mobilization for Camino Global (formerly Central American Mission).  Along with his responsibilities at DTS, he is also Chairman of the Board for Be One Together and Vice Chair for FullSpectrum (formerly the Ethnic America Network of the Billy Graham Center).
