A Peer2Peer Virtual Event for Church Mission Leaders

Carlos Negrón and Michael VanHuis of Missio Nexus will be joined by their special guests Darren Logan of Upstream Sending and Derek Seip of KRIN. Darren and Derek are going to be interacting with us on the topic of Dangerous Places, Difficult Regions: Do We Still Go?

For Christians, perspectives on risk and safety are closely connected to their understanding of God and their concept of living under His authority. These convictions significantly influence how the church responds to political turmoil, natural calamities, and even pandemics. However, these beliefs face their most rigorous examination during missionary work in “dangerous” or “difficult” places/regions of the world. In such contexts, emotions run high, stakes are elevated, and both the likelihood and consequences of risk are magnified. So, we ask: Do we still go? Even though it means possible danger, hurt or even death?
