Critical Skills for Emerging Leaders

Engage with other emerging leaders in a 2.5-day in-person event that addresses your spiritual foundation for leadership as well as personal leadership awareness and effectiveness. Connect as a group to explore team life, organization lifecycles and culture, plus ongoing leadership development. Following the live event will be 4 monthly virtual cohort-based coaching sessions to address each topic in detail and focus on practical issues you face.

This is your opportunity to develop your personal leadership style, enabling you to analyze and develop within your organization. This course will make you proficient in personal leadership analysis and development. But most importantly, it will help you to build cultural awareness for your organization to serve on mission. 

Added Bonus

Following the live Emerging Leaders event in February each participant will be able to participate in an IPSAT assessment. IPSAT is an assessment tool followed by a multi-step module based learning, and one-on-one individual coaching. This process designed by Steve Moore the President of nexleader has impacted many leaders. This assessment, training, and coaching is a value of $795 and it is included as part of Emerging Leaders!

Participant Profile

This course is designed for emerging leaders in their mid-20s to late 30s. Explore the challenges you face in mission agency and church leadership positions and focus on enhancing skills required to mature and become more effective. (Age max for event attendance is 40 years of age).

Price includes event materials, lodging, food, four virtual coaching sessions and the IPSAT process. For those members who live locally and choose to commute, there is a commuting ticket.

Your Facilitator

Michael VanHuis has been with Missio Nexus since September 2015 and is currently serving in the role of Vice President. Michael started in missions by serving with Pioneers in 1997 as a field missionary in Ghana, West Africa, and continued service on their International Leadership Team and Director of Operations for Pioneers USA. In 2005, Michael became the Missions Pastor for Northland Church in Orlando, Florida, overseeing all local to global missions. In 2012, Michael joined the OneWay Ministries staff as Executive Vice President and served with them until joining Missio Nexus in the fall of 2015. Michael earned a Masters of Global Leadership from Fuller Theological Seminary in Pasadena, California, and has traveled widely around the globe serving many national leaders and ministries. He and his wife, Laura, have five children and currently live in Aurora, Illinois.

Cancellation Policy

Email Events@MissioNexus.org should you need to cancel your registration. Refunds will be processed minus a $75 processing fee up through Tuesday, January 17, 2022, after which no refund will be available.
