Women Who Risk: Secret Agents for Jesus in the Muslim World

By: Tom and JoAnn Doyle with Greg Webster

Summary

This book is a touching narration of the true-to-life stories of seven former Muslim women who risk their lives because of their faith in Jesus. These women (who were given pseudonyms for security reasons) come from Muslim-majority countries (like Syria, Iran, and Saudi Arabia) “share one mission in life: to lead others to Christ, starting with their own families” (page xix). The book has seven chapters, which relate the gripping experiences of these seven courageous women. The two authors, who served as a husband-and-wife team for 25 years in the Middle East, consider these women as spiritual gatekeepers of their families. Finally, the epilogue reviews three lessons (danger is temporary; pray for miracles and expect them; prayer is for the long haul) and concludes with three challenges (push through the fear; pray for Muslims as if it is their last day on earth; practice compassion and let go of condemning).
