After 44 years of ministry, and 22 years as the President of First LoveInternational, Tom and Linda Clinton believe it’s time to pass the torch to a new leader. First Love is looking for an experienced man or woman toserve as its next President and lead a team of 40 missionaries servingin some of the world’s most impoverished communities.
 
A successful candidate will come equipped with strong motivational, administrative, and communication skills and have the following:
 
•     A strong faith in God and a heart that listens
to His Spirit.
•     A vibrant prayer life
•     A track-record of effective leadership
•     A heart for “the least of these”
•     A desire to lead a chapter of significant growth and meaningful change

 First Love’s mission is to bring the love and hope of Jesus Christ to unreached people residing in impoverishedregions of the world.
 
First Love was founded in 2001 by Tom Clinton. Tom had spent his life in and around ministry – serving as a local church pastor, a Youth for Christ director, and an overseas mission leader. But after returning from an overseas trip to India, God drew Tom’s focus to Revelation 2: “I know your works, and your labor and patient endurance, and that youare not able to tolerate     evil, and you put to the test those who call themselves apostles and are not, and you foundthem to be false. And you have patient endurance, and have endured many things because of my name, and have not become weary. But I have this against you: that you have left your first love.” In response to a sensed call of God on his life and as an expression of love for Christ, Tom started a mission agency named First Love.
 
Now, 24 years later, and under the guidance of Galatians 5:6 (“The only thing that counts is faith expressing itself through love”), First Love is working to bring God’s love to those Jesus called “the least of these.” God has allowed First Love to grow from a “mom and pop” organization to a ministry with approximately 40 full-time missionaries and 200national staff members bringing the love and hope of Jesus Christ to unreached people in 9 different countries. Newmissionaries and new ministries are being added each year. Most importantly, the lives of thousands of men, women, and children across the globe are being impacted each day with the love of Jesus.
 
First Love utilizes 3 primary ministry methods to pursue its mission:
 
–       Evangelization – Our passion is to see men, women, boys, and girls come to know Jesus as Savior and follow Him as the Lord of their lives. Therefore, the bottom-line purpose of First Love is to be actively engaged in sharing the Good News of forgiveness of sin and the hope of eternal life through Jesus Christ. Our strategies are patterned after those used by the Apostle Paul: I have become all things to all people so that by allpossible means I might save some. (I Corinthians 9:22)
 
–       Exhortation – Realizing that Satan is at work seeking to occupy our minds, lives, and hearts with items of secondary importance, our desire is to be used of the Holy Spirit to call believers back to their first love for God and to His priority of loving people. (Revelation 2:1-5; Matthew 22:36-40)
 
–       Education – Through the power of the Holy Spirit seeking to motivate, mentor, and mobilize followers ofJesus for the purpose of making them fruitful participants in the Great Commission as active members ofthe harvest force. (Matthew 28:19-20)
  
First Love International values…
 
Holy Spirit empowerment… We recognize that prayer for power, wisdom, provision, and guidance from the Holy Spirit are the foundation stones upon which all aspects of our ministry will be constructed. “The HolySpirit helps us in our weakness” (Romans 8:26).
 
Loving involvement… We seek to activate our love for God and people through a disciple- making ministry which is fleshed out by compassionate outreach and doing good. “We loved you so much that we were delighted to share with you not only the gospel of God, but our lives as well” (I Thessalonians 2:8).
 
Strategic investment
…We invest our greatest resources among the most impoverished. Our motivation comes from the words of Jesus: “Whenever you do it for the least of these, you did it for Me” (Matthew 25:40) 

The majority of First Love International’s work is focused in: Kenya, the Philippines, India,
Nepal, Colombia, S. Korea. Taiwn, and Ukraine.
