We are seeking an experienced Financial Accountant with knowledge of business bookkeeping procedures and accounting regulations, experience with analyzing financial data, reconciliation of accounting software, budgeting, and excellentspreadsheet competency.   

This position provides assistance to the Treasurer by performing periodic reconciliation of financial sub-systems, preparing journal entries, performing account analysis and preparation of operations budgets, preparing monthly internal financial statements and preparing financial workpapers for the annual audit.  

This position may also involve cross-training and performing as backup for other accounting and operational positions within the Finance Department as needed.  

Major Responsibilities  

  • Prepare monthly internal financial statements
  • Monitor financial data for trends and comparison to budgets
  • Assist with the annual budget process
  • Process applications and maintain bookkeeping for the Supplemental Retirement Plan 
  • Participate in month-end and year-end close processes
  • Reconcile monthly and quarterly reconciliations of payroll and operating systems, or supervise reconciliations 
  • Assist Treasurer with workpaper preparation for the annual audit 
  • Cross train and perform as backup for various accounting and operational positions in the Finance Department

Qualifications 

  • Love for Jesus Christ and growing relationship with him. 
  • Passion for East Asia and reaching its peoples for God’s glory.
  • Accounting or Finance degree, or equivalent certifications and training in accounting.
  • At least 5 years of accounting or finance experience. 
  • Intermediate or Advanced knowledge of MS Excel and experience with MS Word, MS Access. 
  • Good communication skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills. 
  • Attention to detail, task oriented. 
  • Team player, yet reliable and works well independently.  
  • Problem solver. 

Compensation 
This is a 40 hour per week, full-time, non-exempt position. The salary for this position is needs-based, starting at $26.63 per hour. This can potentially be increased on a needs-basis for team members that are willing to develop a team of prayer and financial partners. (OMF will provide training and support to guide you through the partnership development process as needed.) Other full-time benefits include medical, dental and vision insurance as well as generous PTO.
