The Manager of Youth and Family Ministries is responsible for leading and managing JAARS’ mission-focused youth programs.

Position Responsibilities

Assess current Third-Culture-Kid (TCK) needs within the JAARS community.
Develop and execute strategies to increase the effectiveness of JAARS youth programs.
Support senior leadership in meeting organizational goals.
Supervise and lead direct reports towards achieving the youth program’s goals.
Develop and manage all youth program budgets.
Ensure compliance with JAARS child safety standards.
Act as the JAARS point person for all issues on the JAARS Base related to youth, liaising with Safety and Security when needed to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
Strengthen JAARS relationship with SIL Global TCK Care and Education.
Liaise with other TCK organizations to continually refine JAARS youth practices.
Attend TCK-related professional training.

Position Requirements

Embrace the vision, mission, and core values of JAARS.
Bachelor’s degree in education, youth ministry, or other related fields.
Have 5 years of relevant experience in youth ministry.
Have a good understanding of education options for JAARS parents.
Have a heart for youth, and a good understanding of the unique needs of youth in different developmental stages of life.
Have the ability to lead and motivate a team and influence others through godly character, integrity, and conviction.
Be a strategic thinker, able to act thoughtfully and tactically.
Patient and able to handle challenging situations.
Able to develop and give clear briefings and training presentations.
Have excellent oral and written communication skills.
Proficient with basic computer applications and technology.
