Multi-ethnic inclusion truly reflecting welcomed engagement and active representation in the North American Great Commission community will require change that impacts structural and relational dynamics. The principle of mutuality represents an important value in addressing the change needed that will lead to authentic multi-ethnic inclusion. Join us as we learn more about Mutuality – What it is, What it Means, and What it Looks Like in the context of global missions. This session will unpack the principle of mutuality and include reflective discussion, contextual insights, and practical application.
This is a “Communities of Practice (CoP) event” presented by the Ethnic Inclusion Network of Missio Nexus. Each CoP strives to create a safe space for respectful discourse, shared learning, and mutual understanding to build a more authentically diverse North American Great Commission community. The special guest for this episode is Mekdes Haddis, a Millenial African Missiologist and thought leader, author, founder and executive coach of Just Missions, and project director of the Racial Justice and Reconciliation Collaborative for the National Association of Evangelicals (NAE). Originally from Ethiopia, Mekdes completed her undergraduate degree at Liberty University and Master’s at Columbia International University.
Missio Nexus encourages interaction on diverse and difficult topics. Be aware that the information shared in this event may not reflect the views of the Missio Nexus staff, board, or other community members.
