Leading 10x Deeper – Strengths, Skills, Soul is a multi-day leadership formation experience designed to help women leaders grow in self-awareness, deepen their spiritual life, and develop practical leadership capacity. In a peer-learning environment, schedule combines strengths-focused work (guided by a certified StrengthsFinder coach), rule-of-life exercises, leadership reflection, relationship building, and development planning.

Participant Profile

This event is suited for women mission leaders who want to grow in their understanding and employment of their God-given strengths, enhance their leadership capacity, fortify spiritual rhythms, and pursue heathy relationships.

Who You’ll Meet

You’ll spend time with other female leaders who are committed to deeper formation in character, relationships, and leadership practice. The program structure includes shared learning, reflection, and debrief sessions.

What You’ll Learn

Participants can expect to engage topics including:

  • Building on your personal Clifton Strengths Assessment, you’ll gain an in-depth understanding of your strengths and how they impact your leadership. Sessions include: Turning Talent into Strength, Blind spots & Barriers, Leadership Roles. (The price of the event includes the Clifton Strength Assessment, which you will need to complete before the event.)
  • You will develop, update, or enhance your Rule of Life to deepen your experience of Christ in all areas of your life and leadership. You will have time to assess your current habits and prayerfully discern what’s working and where the Lord might be inspiring something new.
  • In a peer-learning environment, you will sharpen practical leadership skills, such as: Inviting Feedback, Being a Reflective Practitioner, Becoming a Lifelong Learner, Fruitful Friendship for Leaders, and Managing Conflict.

Event Overview

This event is a leadership formation journey that integrates strengths-based development, spiritual reflection, leadership identity, healthy habits, relationships, and personal development planning. It begins Monday evening with an overview and orientation, includes three full days of training, and concludes with breakfast on Friday.

Meet Your Facilitators

Caryn Young has been involved in ministry for over 35 years serving in various roles including Campus Staff Worker with InterVarsity Christian Fellowship, various ministry roles at Church and serving with several nonprofit organizations.  She currently serves as Director of the International Missions Department of the North American Baptist Conference and is a Gallup Certified Strengths Coach.  Caryn has a passion for “equipping the saints” (Ephesians 4:11-16) She loves studying the bible and the joy that comes from leading others as they discover God’s grace and truth through the study of His word in addition to creating workshops that increase development & learning.  She resides in Folsom, CA with her husband of 35 years. They have two adult children, Kalena (28) & Nathan (26).

Jenn Williamson, DMin, is the Director of Leadership Formation for Missio Nexus. She is passionate about equipping and encouraging Christian leaders to guide their organizations to greater effectiveness by developing and employing strategies and systems that reflect and reveal the Kingdom of God. She is a co-host of the podcast, GOING: Where God is at Work, discussing global missions. Originally from the US, she has lived and worked in Lyon, France since 2010 where she continues to equip and mentor global leaders and train cross-cultural workers. Jenn likes reading, hiking, and doing pottery.

Cancellation Policy

Registration for this event closes on Thursday, January 28 or when sold out. Cancellations received on or before January 28 will be refunded minus a $50 cancellation fee. After that, no refund is available.
